Antique Rosewood Writing Box Measures 41 x 24 x 13 cm Offered for sale an early nineteenth rosewood writing box. Small inlaid rectangular mother of pearl motif to the top & mother of pearl inlaid escutcheon to the front. Lifts up on brass hinges to reveal writing slope. Original red material writing surface with compartments for inkwells and pens. Two crystal inkwells with silver plated tops present. Offered in good original condition. Attractive colour to the rosewood; a few marks and wear in align with age. Sound structural condition with solid hinges. The writing surface original though heavily worn. Baize lining to underside.
