Battle of Tralee Irish War of Independence Fake news Story 1920.
Original Complete Edition of The Sunday Pictorial Dated 21st November 1920.
Report on the Battle of Tralee Headlines.
It started when on November 12th, 1920, an auxiliary engagement at a creamery near Ballymacelligott, Tralee, left two men dead.
In fact this was a Staged Scene by the British Government.
Bizarrely, a quiet seaside suburb of Dublin was being portrayed as the scene of the Battle in Tralee .
Trying to show that they were winning.
&   Dublin Castle press officers had staged the event, using auxiliaries.
Some dressed as Civilians, at Vico Road in Killiney Co Dublin.
Pathe Film Gazette also filmed the fictional encounter.
