19th c. French Marble Topped Inlaid Escritoire Original Breche d' Alep marble top. Upper drawer. Fall front opening to reveal leather writing surface. Shelf space and four drawers to the inside Three further drawers to the lower body. The whole with fine kingwood & mahogany inlay. Quality gilt metal escutcheon plates & mounts. Fine construction with oak back. An elegant and piece of furniture of desirable proportions. Measures 70.5 x 40 x 149.5 (height) cm Offered in good polished condition with two keys. The marble top with a small area of good repair to the back. The fall front with a little distortion, though catches happily and is an even writing surface.
