‘HELL’. Is a vibrant eye popping 3 colour hand-pulled, screen print on Black wove paper with a varnish drip overlay and uses bold colours in this letterform artwork. It is evident his background as a graffiti writer influences his current typographic style.
Often only using select block colours, Eine primarily contrasts dark blacks with striking reds, greens and blues to make the wording pop out from the page, giving each print a 3D feel. Ben uses elements of street art to engage and surprise his audience.
‘HELL’ pops out from the black background in the form of Bright Yellow, Orange and Red hand formed stars which is a variation to the usual block letters, colours and repeat patterns. The 3D Effect is more pronounced with hand finished trickled varnish making each one of the Edition an Individual print.
