Antique Sterling Silver Cut Glass Vanity Box Birmingham 1903

A superior heavy cut glass and silver topped vanity box, of nice proportions measures 11 cm long and  4cm high. 
The glass is cut in the hobnail design around the body, the silver top, which fits nicely, is beautifully embossed with flora design.
Hallmarks are visible on the lid for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1903 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver.
The maker's mark is also visible for the silver maker: J.C & Co Ld
A lovely vanity box and a good heavy weight in great antique condition with no chips to the cut glass or dents to the silver.
