This rare very high quality Limited Edition Print on paper was published with light-fast inks to BS1006 standard onto acid-free, calcium carbonate-buffered stock, mould-made from 100% cotton. Image size approx 61cm x 76cm. This is an everyday street scene depicting factories and mills with smoking chimneys, a street full of men, women and children leaving work. A red and cream coloured cart is being pulled by a black horse which stands on the opposite side of the road and there are shops in the background to the left. The sky is white and grey with billowing smoke clouds. Lowry captured a typical scene of the North of England, where the imagination for every character in the picture and the stories therein, are open to the viewer.. H: 71cm W: 86cm D: 1.0cm
