August Ericsson 14ct Gold Pocket Watch c.1890 Lovely quality rare and delicate pocket watch by August Ericsson Savonnette engine turned case in 14ct yellow gold. Fully hallmarked to the inside of the case with squirrel for 14 carat gold with makers name etched to the movement case along with no. 31695 White enamel dial with gold hands & Roman numerals. Makers mark to the dial Movement in full working order. Jewelled, with matching no. 31695 Measures 30 x 42 x 7 mm. Weight: 27.2 g Case in very good condition commensurate with age and little wear. Light scratches to glass. August Ericsson (1842-1910) was a highly regarded Swedish watchmaker and retailer in St. Petersburg, Russia. His specialty was high grade pocket watches and deck chronometers with movements supplied by Nardin, IWC, and Victor Kullberg. Ericsson supplied marine chronometers to the Imperial Navy.
