Regency Carved Giltwood Window Pelmet by D.J.McLauchlan, London Early 19th, c.1830, English D.J.McLauchlan, carver & gilder, No.3 Printing House Square, Blackfriars, London Carved wood composition with true gold leaf gilded finish. Lined behind the carving in a burgundy. A lovely quality unusual piece either for use as a curtain pelmet or a superb cornice for a grand bed Width: 222.5 cm / 87 3/4 in Depth: 48 cm / 19 in Height: 50 cm / 19 1/2 in Offered in good condition commensurate with age. Some marks to gold leaf finish. Foliate carving to the centre with little old repair. Removed from Staunton Park, Leominster, having been purchased from the Harrods antique department 40 years ago
