Pair of Pastel Portraits by Emily Eyres (British, 1850-1910) We are pleased to offer a pair of early 20th c. pre-WW1 portraits of children in pastel Emily Eyres (British, 1850-1910), both pictures framed and dated by the artist Finely observed with lots of character; wonderful eyes to both portraits. Each picture is signed and dated by the artist. Emily Eyres was a British portrait and genre painter who exhibited at the Royal Academy 1899-1904. Eyres is recorded as living in Walton on Thames during the period she was exhibiting at the R.A., her husband John W Eyres was a landscape artist and also exhibited at the R.A. Set in original heavy gilt frames with later gold leaf finish. Both frames measure 69 x 79 cm / 27 x 31 in
