Marilyn Monroe was a frequent subject of the Pop Art artists including Andy Warhol. Sandwiched between panels of abstract forms in green and red, Boty painted her Marilyn laughing and walking, her shoulders swathed in a large stole pictured as the epitome of a new feminine sexuality. Something Boty’s work often addressed.
