Description

Edwardian Commemorative Glass Tankard – Imperial International Exhibition, London 1909 English, Edwardian period A fine and original commemorative glass tankard dating to the Edwardian era, produced to mark the Imperial International Exhibition held in London in 1909. This attractively flared tankard is etched with a detailed depiction of the Tower of London, along with the inscription: "A present from Imperial International Exhibition, London 1909, Mary." Blown in clear glass with a gently splayed base and applied handle, the tankard displays good clarity and craftsmanship. The surface retains light rubbing commensurate with age and handling, but it remains in very good condition overall, with no chips, cracks or repairs. A charming souvenir of Edwardian London and a notable international event, this piece offers both decorative appeal and historical interest. Dimensions: Height: 16.5 cm Width (including handle): 13 cm Diameter at base: 16 cm
