Westendorp de Brias lower right, dated 1981. The sitter is depicted in soft three-quarter profile with serene expression, dressed in a pale blue blouse against a neutral background. The choice of slate as support lends the piece a smooth, matte quality and a quietly dignified presence. To the reverse is an original printed label offering a brief biography of the artist and referencing portrait commissions for the Spanish royal family. The label includes a note about the sitter's identity, though a stated connection to King Juan Carlos appears to be incorrect and unverified. Framed under glass in a later gilt frame with linen slip.
