Early 20th Century Wingback Armchair with Carved Ball & Claw Feet – For Restoration A substantial and traditionally styled wingback armchair, likely dating to the early 20th century, drawing influence from the George II revival popular in the Edwardian period. The chair features a solid hardwood frame (possibly mahogany or similar), raised on carved cabriole front legs with shell detail and ball and claw feet. The rear legs are plain and slightly splayed, typical of the period. The upholstery, in a faded rose-pink velvet or moquette, is worn and deteriorated, with visible staining, discolouration, tearing, and significant sagging to the seat and underside.
