Description

19th Century White & Gilt Two-Handled Porcelain Urn A finely crafted porcelain urn from the 19th century, featuring a white ground with subtle gilt detailing to the rim, handles, and base. The urn has a classical form with two handles, and the gilding, though worn in places, adds an understated elegance. The urn is unmarked, which suggests it may have been produced in a smaller workshop or as part of a set. Dimensions: 17 cm (height) x 16 cm (diameter) x 14 cm (width). Condition: In very good condition overall. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs, though some minor wear to the gilding and light surface scratches are visible, typical for a piece of this age. Period: This urn is likely from the early to mid-19th century, reflecting the design aesthetics of the time. While the lack of a maker's mark makes it difficult to attribute to a specific porcelain manufacturer, it could potentially have been made in France, Germany, or England, where such urns were common.
