Pair of Japanese Imari Scalloped Bowls – Circa 1900 
A decorative pair of Japanese Imari porcelain bowls, dating to the late Meiji period, circa 1900. 
Each bowl features a scalloped rim and is hand-painted in the traditional Imari palette of underglaze blue, iron red and gilt. 
The larger bowl measures approx. 18 cm in diameter, the smaller 16 cm. 
Both are decorated with alternating floral and patterned panels, with central medallions and detailed borders. 
Unmarked to the base, as typical for the period. 
Good condition with light surface wear and minor rubbing to the enamel, consistent with age.
