Pair of Beswick Shakespearean Relief Chargers – "As You Like It" & "Romeo and Juliet" 
A fine pair of vintage English pottery chargers by Beswick, each decorated in relief with scenes from Shakespeare plays. 
"As You Like It" Charger Depicting a forest scene with figures in Elizabethan costume, surrounded by a border inscribed: “AS YOU LIKE IT · O THAT I WERE I OF ALL KINGDOMS KING ·” 
Embossed and hand-painted in vibrant colours with a moulded leaf border. 
Reverse with Beswick backstamp. 

Dimensions: approx. 31 cm diameter × 3 cm deep 

Condition: Good vintage condition. 
No chips, cracks or repairs. 

"Romeo and Juliet" Charger Featuring the iconic balcony scene with Juliet and Romeo, the border inscribed: “ROMEO AND JULIET · FOR IN A MINUTE THERE ARE MANY DAYS ·” 
Richly coloured and finely modelled with a similar leaf border. 
Reverse with Beswick backstamp. 

Dimensions: approx. 31 cm diameter × 3 cm deep

No chips, cracks or repairs. 
These decorative chargers were produced mid-20th century and are sought after by collectors of Beswick and Shakespeareana alike.
