Description
A richly decorative majolica vase, likely Italian in origin, hand-painted with vibrant classical scenes.
The body features a reclining figure and male attendant in a pastoral landscape beneath a bold cobalt sky.
Each side bears a raised yellow face surrounded by foliage.
The distinctive twin handles are modelled as coiled green and black spotted serpents – a dramatic and rare decorative flourish.
Marked to the base with a hand-painted “75” and a symbol, suggesting studio or small workshop production.

Depth: 12 cm
Condition: Minor damage to the rim at the base of the serpent handles (visible in photos)
Rubbing and small nibbles to the base
Some surface wear and glaze flaws consistent with age and production
Colours remain bright and well-preserved
