Description

Pair of Engraved Brass Vessels, Indian, Late 19th to Early 20th Century
A near pair of finely worked brass vessels, likely of Indian origin, each with a rounded body and flared neck, profusely decorated with foliate and floral engraving.
One features traditional red and black lac-filled detailing, the other left plain, both displaying dense hand-chased designs characteristic of North Indian metalwork from the late 19th to early 20th century.
Each vessel is individually made, with subtle differences in form and decoration, suggesting production in the same regional workshop.
The bases show signs of age and hand finishing, with one bearing a scribed star motif. Both have developed a rich, untouched patina, and are of notably good weight in the hand.

Dimensions: approx. 9cm wide by 8cm high

Condition: Surface wear and tarnish consistent with age and use.
No repairs.
A decorative and characterful pair, suitable for display or practical use.
