Description
A fascinating and heavy antique piece of kitchenalia, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century.
This substantial copper vessel features a concave internal floor with a water jacket beneath, allowing for gentle, even heating.
Likely used for delicate cooking processes such as melting chocolate, preparing custards, or similar heat-sensitive foods.
Raised on three domed feet, with robust side handles and a capped outlet for filling or draining the water reservoir.
Measurements: 39 cm (width) x 32 cm (depth) x 18 cm (height)
Condition: Good, polished condition.
The copper has a rich, warm tone with light dinks, dents, and surface marks consistent with its age and use.
Displays very well and remains an impressive, functional piece.
