Description
A fine-quality Victorian brass inkwell, dating to the late 19th century, with a pierced domed lid and a shaped base decorated with raised foliate scrollwork.
Well cast and of good weight, the inkwell has been polished to a warm sheen.
The lid lifts to reveal a clean interior well, no longer retaining its original glass liner but entirely presentable for display.
The pierced fretwork and ornate detailing are characteristic of the period, offering both decorative appeal and practical form.
Dimensions: 9.5 cm x 9.5 cm; 8 cm high
Condition: Very good overall.
Polished, with light wear and natural patination to the underside.
A handsome and decorative desk piece from the Victorian era, ideal for collectors or traditional interiors.
