Description
A handsome set of mid-19th century brass fire dogs, accompanied by a matching set of fire irons.
The fire dogs are of good weight and balanced form, with turned finials and elegant cabriole legs in the Georgian revival taste, popular during the Victorian period.
The companion tools include tongs, shovel, and poker—each with finely cast handles and classical detailing.
Each fire dog measures approx. 17 x 20 x 33 (height) cm.
In good antique condition with age-related surface marks and tarnish, particularly to the poker tip.
