Description
A striking limited-edition cut crystal oil lamp, commissioned in 2002 and hand-signed by glass artist R. Everton.
This piece exemplifies the enduring quality and tradition of Stourbridge glassmaking.
The lamp features deep amethyst overlay glass, intricately wheel-cut with crosshatch, hobstar and stylised thistle motifs to both the font and matching shade.
The clarity and precision of the cutwork is exceptional, highlighting the lamp’s considerable weight and craftsmanship.
Fitted with a silver-plated duplex burner and clear glass chimney, and resting on a faceted clear cut glass base.
The underside is etched: R. Everton No.1 2002, denoting it as the first of a very limited series.

Very good condition throughout.
Unused since its commission.
No chips, cracks or restoration.
The silver plating remains bright, and the crystal displays beautifully.
