Description
A fine and well-preserved 22ct gold necklace, comprising a decorative pendant and curb-link chain, purchased in Malaysia in 1984 and complete with its original invoice, presentation box, and red silk pouch.
The pendant features a domed medallion bearing the image of the Bunga Raya — Malaysia’s national flower — framed within an ornate gold wreath surround.
Both front and reverse are decorated with tropical and Arabic-inspired motifs in relief.
The chain is a classic double curb link in 22ct gold, measuring 68cm (approx. 26¾ inches) in total length, and 34cm (approx. 13½ inches) when doubled, as traditionally worn.
Both pieces are stamped 916.
The total weight is 16.7 grams, and the set remains in very good vintage condition, clearly cherished and retained with care.
Originally purchased by the vendor’s parents from Cheong Shing Gold-Smith (Tukang Emas) in Johor, Malaysia.
The original dated invoice from 18 April 1984 is included, providing clear provenance.
