Victorian Mourning Ring with Purple Glass Stones – Early 19th Century 
This Victorian mourning ring features a cushion-shaped cluster head, approximately 21.37mm x 16.5mm, surrounded by twelve purple glass stones (paste) measuring 3.8mm to 3.5mm in diameter. 
The stones are set in pinch-style settings with a rose-colored border containing brown hair—an evocative feature typical of mourning jewellery, symbolising remembrance. 
The ring is set in a later 9ct yellow gold shank, with split shoulders and decorative wirework. 
The head is thought to date from the early 19th century and was likely originally designed as a brooch before being converted into a ring with later modifications to the bezel, shoulders, and shank.
