Description
Description: This antique ring, dating back to the Victorian era, showcases a trio of sapphires set alongside small diamonds, all beautifully arranged in an 18ct yellow gold band.
The sapphires are well-matched in colour and clarity, while the diamonds add a subtle touch of sparkle.
The design features delicate detailing along the shoulders of the band, typical of the period's craftsmanship.
The ring is fully hallmarked, including the WG sponsor's mark, which identifies the maker as William Gibson, a distinguished jeweller based in Birmingham in the late 19th century.
The Gothic "r" in the hallmark confirms the ring was assayed in 1898, placing it firmly within the Victorian era.
The anchor mark indicates it was assayed in Birmingham, and the crown mark affirms the 18ct gold content.
A small diamond is currently missing from the setting, which may slightly affect the ring’s overall aesthetic but can easily be replaced.
