Description
A large and well-proportioned antique inkwell of good weight, featuring a finely cut glass body and a silver-mounted collar with hinged lid.
The lid is inset with tortoiseshell and bordered with a delicate silver band, offering a touch of understated refinement.
Hallmarked for London, 1916.
The maker’s mark is partially worn but present.
The glass is deeply cut with a diamond lattice to the base and elegantly chamfered panels to the sides.
The silver lid closes firmly and remains well-hinged.
Dimensions: 8cm x 8cm x 9cm high
Condition: Good antique condition.
Minor nibbles to the glass commensurate with age; silver mount intact and lid secure.
A decorative and functional piece, ideal for the desk or as part of a collection of antique writing accessories.
