Description

2288 - Limited Edition by Pablo Picasso on silk with a weight of 16 Momme. Titled "Femme au Chignon dans un Fauteuil". One of only 95 published worldwide. Supplied complete with a certificate of authenticity signed by the Master Printer and a replacement valuation of £1800 free of charge. This artwork is in superb condition and framed with a bespoke mount. The original was painted in 1948 and the image is of Picasso's lover Francoise wearing a highly coloured jacket Picasso gifted to her. The piece belongs to a period of Picasso's work characterised by an increasing energy and artistic freedom after the war years. The original was sold in 2015 at Sotheby's for $30 million..
