Large Chinese Jade Tree in Glazed Pot, c. Mid-20th Century A decorative Chinese hardstone flowering tree, dating to the mid to late 20th century. The piece is composed of individually carved and polished jade and hardstone leaves and flowers, set into a naturalistic wood trunk and branches. The tree is housed in a heavy pale celadon-glazed ceramic pot with low-relief decoration. The flowers, in soft pink tones, resemble magnolias or cherry blossoms, and are delicately formed with fine attention to detail.
