Description

Mid-Century Cut Glass and Crystal Four-Arm Chandelier, c.1950 An elegant and finely made four-arm chandelier, dating to the mid-20th century, of refined proportion and excellent clarity. The central baluster column is composed of hand-cut glass sections with fine faceting and baluster turning, surmounted by a corona hung with icicle and pear-shaped drops. Each arm is formed in twisted clear glass, terminating in shaped drip pans and nozzles with faux candle sleeves topped with frosted flame-effect bulbs. The chandelier is fully dressed with cut crystal prisms and pendant drops throughout, offering brilliant refraction and visual movement when lit. Fully rewired and ready to install. All glass elements appear present and secure, with only minor nibbles to some drops in keeping with age. Dimensions: Width: 32 cm (12.6 in) Drop (excluding chain): 58 cm (22.8 in) Condition: Very good vintage condition. All components intact. Minor signs of wear to some crystal elements consistent with age and use. Customisation: We are happy to assist with sourcing a suitable ceiling rose, suspension chain, or silk-wrapped flex on request.
