Art Nouveau Alpacca Chainmail Purse c.1900

Fine Art Nouveau Alpacca Chainmail Purse Turn of the century, circa 1900. A charming Art Nouveau period chainmail purse featuring a finely detailed frame, stamped 'Alpacca'. The interlocking clasp is set with moonstone cabochons, and the purse retains its original chain handle. The chainmail body is neatly finished with a fringe, and the interior remains lined with the original blue silk, showing some marks and staining in keeping with its age. Dimensions: 18 cm high x 20 cm wide x 1 cm deep Condition: Good condition overall, with minor marks and staining to the interior in keeping with age.
