Antique English Copper & Brass Warming Pan with Turned Wooden Handle (c. Late 19th Century) A traditional English warming pan, likely late Victorian in date, featuring a finely turned wooden handle and a decorative copper pan with hinged lid. The lid is adorned with a repoussé foliate design, while the pan remains unpolished, showing pleasing patina and areas of natural verdigris. The handle is constructed in dark-stained wood with elegant turning and a drilled suspension hole to the end, currently strung for hanging. Brass collar to the neck. Opens smoothly on original hinge. Condition: Good overall condition. Some surface marks, light oxidation and signs of age to the copper, including verdigris in places, and a minor seam line to the reverse. The handle is sound with minor wear to finish. Dimensions: Length: 108 cm Diameter of pan: approx. 28 cm A decorative and functional antique, ideal for a country house interior or fireside display.
