Set of 4 Edwardian Hand Painted Fish Plates, Signed Wolly Fowkes 1903 A charming and unusual set of four Edwardian porcelain plates, each hand painted with a different freshwater fish among reeds and aquatic plants. The moulded rims are embellished with gilding, and each plate is individually signed on the reverse: "Wolly Fowkes, Worcester 3/1903" Origin: Worcester, England Date: March 1903 Diameter: 24.5 cm Decoration: Hand painted with gilded moulded rims Signature: Hand signed by artist to reverse of each plate Condition: One plate has substantial damage (a broken section at the rim). The others show age-related signs including some rim nibbles, old repairs, and craquelure. Please see photos for details.
