Description

A wooden tray with relief carving of Itsukushima Shinto Shrine in Japan.
It depicts the "Tori" (gate), which is submerged at high tide and entrance to the Shinto Shrine - a UNESCO World Heritage site - on the island of Itsukushima, with the Mount Misen on the background.
Signed on verso.
Showa Era (1926-1989).
Excellent condition.
