Painted with a keen eye for architectural detail and a gentle, natural palette, it captures a quiet rural moment. The artist is recorded as having exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists (dates on label verso state 1891–1905, which may not correspond exactly with her own exhibition career).
