Royal Worcester Blush Ivory Vase with Moonlit Bird Scene, Dated 1887 — Damaged An evocative Royal Worcester porcelain vase of teardrop form, hand-painted with a striking moonlit scene of nesting birds under a full moon to one side and birds in flight to the reverse. Executed in blush ivory ground with rich gilded detail and applied pierced gilt handles in the Aesthetic style. The painting is of a notably high standard, with delicate brushwork and fine gilt highlights. Marked to the base with the puce Royal Worcester factory mark, date code for 1887, and registered design number Rd No. 71590. Dimensions: Height: 21 cm Width: 14 cm Depth: 12 cm Condition: Sold as-is for display or reference. The vase has a significant break and loss to the upper section including the rim. No restoration. Gilding and painted decoration remain bright and well preserved.
