Antique Brass Microscope by Henry Crouch, London – with Case & Accessories Offered for sale is a late 19th-century brass monocular microscope by Henry Crouch, a noted London maker of optical and scientific instruments. The microscope retains its original lacquered brass finish and is mounted on a blackened cast iron base. It features a double nosepiece with two objective lenses, mechanical stage with slide clips, and both coarse and fine focusing mechanisms. The substage condenser and mirror assembly are present, though not attached. Housed in its original fitted wooden case, which shows signs of age including surface marks and some distortion to the door. Also included is a companion accessory box with a number of brass objectives and components, all showing patina and wear consistent with use and age. The instrument is untested but appears complete and would make a good example for display or further research. Dimensions (case): 16 cm wide x 18 cm deep x 36 cm high Condition: Good overall condition for age. Tarnishing to brass, age-related wear to components, and visible marks to case.
