Fraternal Order Medal – Knights of Pythias

Vintage Masonic Jewel – Order of the Secret Monitor (David & Jonathan) A vintage Masonic jewel, believed to be associated with the Order of the Secret Monitor, also known as the Brotherhood of David and Jonathan. The design features a six-pointed interlaced star set over crossed arrows, with a pierced central monogram reading “D J”. A red cord is threaded through the centre. The jewel is suspended from a yellow and purple ribbon, attached to a decorative gilt suspension bar with pin-back fastening. The reverse is stamped “TOYE” and “SILVER”, indicating manufacture by Toye, Kenning & Spencer, a well-known British maker of ceremonial regalia. Period: Mid-20th century Dimensions: 9 cm high (including ribbon); 3.5 cm wide Markings: Stamped “TOYE” and “SILVER” to the reverse Condition: Light wear consistent with age. The ribbon shows some fraying but remains intact. Pin fastening and red cord both present.
