Of classic form with rounded ends and a hinged frame opening, fitted with brass locks and catches. The grained leather body retains its original handle and reinforced base with brass feet. The interior is lined in black leather and contains two removable black leather document wallets, both lined with green silk, an unusual survival. A practical and characterful example, suitable both for use and display. Condition Some rubbing and scuffing to the leather at corners and edges. Brass fittings with age-related tarnish.
