Victorian Oil Lamp with Hand-Painted Floral Font, c.1880 A decorative late Victorian oil lamp, dating to around 1880, with a finely hand-painted glass font decorated with colourful flowers and gilt foliate garlands. The font is mounted with a brass duplex burner and twin sun-marked adjusting wheels. The lamp is supported on a reeded gilt metal column, rising from a stepped circular base with a glossy black-glazed ceramic foot (with impressed number to underside). Dimensions: – Height: 44 cm – Font diameter: 18 cm Condition: Good antique condition overall, with some small marks and light wear consistent with age and use. Burner with patination.
