Antique Brass Fire Fender with Outswept Fire Iron Rests English, late 19th century, c.1890 A well-proportioned antique brass fire fender with twin bar rail and turned ball finials, flanked by outswept fire iron rests to either end. Nicely detailed with a mellow patina and good overall weight. External dimensions: Width 146 cm x Depth 37 cm x Height 17 cm Internal dimensions: Width 116 cm x Depth 30 cm Good condition commensurate with age. Some marks and small dinks to the brass, with slight distortion to the scrollwork on the side rests. Unpolished.
