19th Century Engraved Brass Chinoiserie Tray A decorative 19th century engraved brass tray of quatrefoil form, likely of Chinese export origin or English-made in Chinoiserie taste. The surface is engraved with a lightly detailed garden scene featuring two robed figures among stylised trees and foliage. Of pressed brass with shaped rim and gentle scalloped edging. Dimensions: 34.5 cm wide x 25 cm deep x 1 cm high Offered in aged but good decorative condition. The engraving is softly worn and there is surface marking and patination throughout. Some minor dents and irregularities to the edge in line with age and use.
