Vintage Italian Gold-Plated Brass & Bevelled Glass Hanging Lantern

Vintage Italian Gilt Brass and Bevelled Glass Hexagonal Lantern Very nice quality decorative mid to late 20th century hanging lantern of hexagonal form, likely Italian, dating to around 1970. The frame is constructed in brass with a bright gold plated finish and features six bevelled glass panels in good condition, with a serpentine top edge and elegant scrolled supports rising to a central finial. Internally, the lantern houses three curving branches to take SES (E14) candle bulbs. The original brass ceiling rose and hanging chain are present. A well-made vintage fitting of good proportions, ideal for a hallway, porch, or stairwell. Dimensions: Height of lantern (excluding chain and rose): 46 cm Total drop including chain and ceiling rose: 79 cm Width: 44 cm Condition: Good overall vintage condition. Some little wear to the finish but clean and all the fine quality bevelled glass panels in good order. Working though sold untested, so electrical fittings should be inspected by a qualified electrician before use.
