British Oil Lamp with Clear Glass Font and Bronze Base, c.1920 A handsome early 20th century British oil lamp featuring a clear moulded glass font and an elegant bronze column base with reeded and stylised leaf decoration, raised on a stepped black circular plinth. The twin control knobs are stamped “British Made”, and the burner is fitted with a clear tulip-form glass chimney. Height: 54.5 cm (with chimney) Condition: Good overall condition with light wear and patination to the metalwork; minor marks to the glass consistent with age. Origin: England Date: Circa 1920
