Description

Decorative Inlaid Mother-of-Pearl and Bone Box A finely made wooden box decorated throughout with intricate geometric inlay work, combining mother-of-pearl, bone and dark wood in traditional Middle Eastern style. The hinged lid and sides are patterned with tessellated star and diamond motifs, the interior lined in red velvet. Likely Syrian or Indian, late 20th century. Measures 16 x 11 x 6 (height) cm Good decorative condition, minor wear consistent with age and use.
