Spode ‘The Maritime England Plates’ – No. 1 “The Glorious First of June, 1794” Limited Edition Plate – No. 182/2000 A fine collector’s plate from the Maritime England Plates series produced by Spode, approved by the National Maritime Museum. This is Plate No. 1 in the series: “The Glorious First of June, 1794.” The centre depicts Lord Howe’s dismasted flagship, HMS Queen Charlotte, shown flanked by French warships following the battle on 1 June 1794. The border is richly decorated in cobalt blue with gilt anchors and ropework motifs. The reverse is fully marked, confirming the title, description, and limited edition number 182 of 2000. No chips, cracks or repairs
