Small Korean Buncheong Brushwork Dish, Joseon Dynasty, 15th–16th Century A finely potted and well-preserved Korean stoneware dish, dating to the early to mid-Joseon Dynasty, circa 15th–16th century. Of shallow circular form, the piece is decorated in the distinctive Buncheong tradition with iron-oxide brushwork beneath a translucent celadon-tinged glaze. The interior features a lively floral or foliate motif painted in dark slip, while the outer wall is decorated with spontaneous scrolling strokes. The base is partially unglazed with natural firing grit and spur marks, typical of kiln supports used during the period.
