Victorian Silver Pocket Watch, Chester 1893 A late Victorian sterling silver pocket watch, hallmarked Chester 1893. The case is of engine-turned design with a vacant cartouche to the back. The interior carries full English hallmarks: lion passant for sterling silver, Chester town mark, and date letter for 1893. The sponsor’s mark is rubbed but begins R.... The white enamel dial has Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds at six o’clock, and gilt hands. Some hairlines and minor surface marks are present. The movement is a key-wind type.
