Victorian Pressed Glass Golden Jubilee Jug, 1887 This small pressed-glass jug was produced in 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. These were made by several British glasshouses (notably Sowerby, Davidson, and Greener), and the beaded texture, applied handle and moulded lettering are all characteristic. The inscription around the top band commemorates the 1887 Jubilee, with the typical raised beading and scalloped rim used on period examples. Seed bubbles and mould lines are original to manufacture. Dimensions: 11 × 8 × 10 cm (height) Good condition. No cracks or repairs, very minor nibbles only
