The plaster surfaces are finished in a distressed off-white paint, giving a textured and decorative appearance with a warm, timeworn quality. The lamps are topped with superb handmade silk-lined shades of traditional scalloped design, edged with rope twist and braid, and finished with long gold fringing and tassel drops. The quality of the shade making is of a very high order, with fine tailoring and elegant proportion, lending the pair a refined and glamorous presence. Condition: The lamps and shades are in very good order overall, with only one or two very minor marks to the shades noted on close inspection. Fully wired and ready for use.
