Royal Worcester ‘American Pintail’ by Ronald Van Ruyckevelt, 1970 A finely detailed porcelain model of an American Pintail (Dafila acuta), produced by Royal Worcester and modelled by acclaimed sculptor Ronald Van Ruyckevelt. Dated 1970 and numbered 295 to the base. The bird is shown with wings extended in an alert, lifelike posture, naturalistically hand-painted in soft browns with vibrant green and chestnut plumage beneath the wings. It stands on a sculpted naturalistic base of stones and moss, and is presented on the original veneered wood plinth. Fully marked to the underside with the Royal Worcester factory stamp, model number, title, and artist’s facsimile signature. Dimensions: Height: 33 cm Width: 34 cm Depth: 16 cm Condition: Very good overall. One claw tip with a very small loss (approximately 3 mm), scarcely noticeable. No other damage or restoration.
